A violent tune for a decaying world,
A desolate note for a lost cause,
A rancid kiss to end the pain of love,
A toxic drink to make my mind numb.

Rancid beauty fills this world our home,
The prettified imagery of wars and conflicts.
The misleading books with the gold coloured covers,
The view of our ignorant masses, who all wear rose tinted glasses.

Our generals who push pens and order the firing of bombs,
Our children who scrounge for materials to rebuild their houses.
What happened to the ideology of peace love and understanding?
Why are certain countries plagued with obesity,
When other cant even feed themselves?

I hope we see Armageddon soon.
I think we could all use the change.
I hope the apocalypse happens soon,
But then looking at what we have now it really wouldn't be that strange.
